Course Description

Students will explore multiple mediums, including drawing, painting and 3-dimensional design. Emphasis will be on applying elements of art & principles of design in a variety of art projects.  Upon completion of the course students will begin to speak the universal language of art.

Late Assignments

Assignments are expected to be turned in on the due date.  Not before or after.  If you turn in a late assignment, you will only be able to receive a 3.5 or lower as your grade. Get your projects turned in on time!

Grading 

Formative Projects 20%

Summative Projects 80%

Follow class procedures, directions & school policies

Cell Phones

You are only allowed to use your cellphones during studio time for taking pictures of your artwork to upload to google classroom.  Students who break the rules will be warned first.  The second time they will need to bring their cellphone to the office or the teacher.  DO NOT take pictures or videos of other students

Plagiarism Policy 

Students shall not knowingly engage in any dishonest or dishonorable behavior, including cheating, styling, lying, or committing any act of plagiarism, with any academic work. 

Absent

If you are absent it is your responsibility to speak to the teacher about what you missed. You may make arrangements to come in before/after school.   Arrangements must be made with the teacher at least 1 day prior.

Restrooms

Please use the restroom before class.  Nobody should be leaving for the restroom ten minutes before class ends
